There´s really very little to say about Vilcabamba. Its a tiny little town way up high in the mountains, close to the Pereuvian border. It may possibly be the most mellow place I´ve ever seen in my life. People move slow there. The town is surrounded by hiking trails. I spent most of the day hiking through the countryside. Everywhere I went, strangers offered me rides. The town does seem to attract some strange folks. I met a British lady, probably in her fifties. She seemed to be on some crazy combination of drugs and reminded me very much of Keith Richards. She said that she came there to party and had been there for four months. She seemed a bit lost. I´m not sure at all what her story is.
